2021 Best of the Blog

Happy New Year! For the last several years, I've used one of the first posts of the New Year to share the best projects from the previous year. Click here: Best of the Blog to view previous year's lists.

To start the list, I'll share the most viewed projects from last year. The first up is my Frequently Asked Questions about Alcohol Ink post. I hope this article helps crafters who are just starting out with Alcohol Inks or who are interested in getting started.

The second most viewed project, was my Faux Stained Glass Panels project. These were a ton of fun to make and looked great hanging in my window most of last year!

The 3rd most popular post from last year were these Plastic Wrap Alcohol Ink Switch Plates. I love using the plastic wrap method for applying ink. It's so easy and the results are so much fun.

The 4th most popular post of the year was this Alcohol Inked Glass Plate Backed with White Spray Paint. This is the only post in the top 5 that I'd kind of like to try again to see if I could make it even better.

And rounding out the top 5, was my Heart Shaped Sun Catchers made with alcohol ink and laminating pouches. I used a Silhouette to cut my hearts out, but you could easily use a template and a scissors for this one.

Next up are the honorable mentions. These were either close to the top 5 or were just favorite projects that haven't been viewed as much (usually because they were projects from later in the year). The first featured honorable mention was when my husband and I tried our hand at Paint Pouring.

Next up was the Denim Wreath I made at the end of the summer. I had a rough idea that I wanted to make a wreath with old denim jeans, and I was really impressed with how well it turned out.

Next in the honorable mentions is our first alcohol ink and 3D printing mash up of the year: Alcohol Inked 3D Printed Leaf Pendant. If you've been following the blog, you know we got a 3D printer. It's been a ton of fun learning how to use it.

The last of our honorable mentions this year was another sun catcher project I made with Laminating pouches. The Easter Sun Catchers just got edged off the official top 5 by the Valentine's Day ones.
